A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and Meunier with 20% Chardonnay.  Grand Brut shows a fine persistant bead of bubbles which release deliciously floral, slightly honeyed fruit aromas. Fresh white peaches on the palate and an elegant finish.

Sherbert lemons on the nose, and on the palate, a very firm structure, forceful acidity and a sharp mousse.

One of the most well known of all non-vintage Champagnes, Bollinger employs a high proportion of Pinot Noir in this blend.  The wine shows a pristine quality to its fruit, with a touch of toast and a hint of apple.

In many minds one of the finest non-vintage Rosé Champagnes. The colour is an attractive salmon pink and the nose is wonderfully fresh with an aroma of summer fruits.

Pale green, highly aromatic wine with strong notes of citrus fruites and flowers together with subtle yet pleasant touches of fresh grass and ripe pineapples. To the palate, it is fresh and crisp with a long and pleasant finish.

This is a typical Pinot Grigio from Northeast Italy with a brilliant straw yellow colour, elegant perfume of Acacia flowers, alomnds and dried fruit. A soft, well-balanced palate combines citrus, exotic fruit and fresh apples. Elegant and dry, an ideal accopaniment to hor d'oeuvres, fish dishes, soups and white meats.

Made from a traditional blend of Tempranillo and Grenache grapes, this Rioja has been selected from old vineyards and matured for two years in oak barrell and bottle. Spice, cherry, vanilla and leather aromas dominate the bouquet. On the taste it is intense and well structured, with soft velvety tannins giving a pleasant backbone.

Fleurie has a distinctly floral bouquet of violets and summer fruits and is perhaps the most approachable and elegant of the Beaujolais Crus. Picked from the best vineyard site in this famous village on the hillside below the 'Saint Madone' and made from 100% Gammay grapes which have enjoyed excellent exposure to the sun and are wonderfully ripe at harvest. This very fruity wine exhibits an aroma of wild strawberries.

The seven hectare Crochet estate includes two hectares of Pinot Noir, mostly planted on the limestone slopes of the prime village of Bué. This vintage produced a pale salmon pink rosé, fresh with a delicate perfumed bouquet, finishing well rounded with exceptional poise.

Using a traditional blend of Tempranillio and Garnache grapes, this Rose Rioja has been created by blending the delicate salmon-pink must of the grapes during fermentation. Unlike red-rioja, the Rosado is not aged in oak and retains its natural vibrant freshness. This dry style is very popular in Spain for its redcurrant ans strawberry character and fresh balanced palate.

Juicy and light with fresh watermelon and raspberry on the palate. A hint of sweetness on the finihs with great length.

a delicate salmon pink rose, made naturally using selected copper skinned Pinot Grigio grapes. This is a rare wine style which has become greatley sought after and very fashionable in Italy. It has the delicate perfumed aromas of peach and rose petals and soft, red fruit flavours on the palate. It is dry and well balanced, excellent to drink with fish and white meats.

Pale and light with subtle raspberry and strawberry notes adding to classic lemon and apple Pinot Grigio notes. A hint of juicy sweetness on the palate makes it all the more delicious.

The Cotes de Grandlieu is considered a superior region of Muscadet producing intense, almost exotic fruit with the rich bread-like character added by aging over winter on the wine's lees.

Soft, delicate aroma, with hints of fruit and flowers give way to a light palate. Very elegant.

A mouth filling wine, well balanced with peachy fruit and a gently lingering acidity.

Clean and brilliant yellow Chardonnay with golden reflects. The aroma has a good intensity of fruits like quince and pear while in the mouth it is smooth, with a firm acidity that gives it freshness and length.

State of the art temperature control and vinification facilities have enabled the winemakers at the Caves de Lugny to capture the crisp Chardonnay flavours and ripe fruit from this southern Burgundy.  It is aged in stainless steel with no oaking to mask the delicious clean fruit.

From the Côte Chalonnaise, which runs south from Chassagne- Montrachet, an area in which Leflaive reigns supreme! Aromas of gentle citrus fruit, with toast and cream from oak ageing.  An elegant wine, with notes of apple and brioche on the palate.

From the Bouchard family in Burgundy, this Chablis shows all the classic characteristics. Clean, crisp minerality gives way to apples and pears with fresh lemon zest. A very slight hint of vanilla finishes it off.

Hint of smoke, apricot and hazelnuts on the nose. Ripe and fresh palate, possessing fabulous weight and ripeness of honeyed peach and pear fruit flavours with a dash of classic Pinot Gris spice.Delicious.

White Châteauneuf remains something of a rarity although this complex and exotic blend of Grenache Blanc, Rousanne and Marsanne offers a serious alternative to white Burgundy. A combination of dried fruits, apricot, peach and honeysuckle create an evocative bouquet, which is followed through on the palate with a rich concentrated finish.

A beautifully fragrant, medium bodied wine with up front fruit that continues to develop on the palate. Hints of peaches and green apples that are balanced perfectly with crisp acidity to give it a clean, fresh finish.

Made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on the limestone slopes of Bué, Francois Crochet creates a classic Sancerre with a lovely grassy aroma and well-balanced, ripe flavours. Whilst rich with citrus flavours this wine has excellent balance and weighty fruit on the palate.

This wine has a flinty, citrus and smoke scented nose with racy, steely acidity.

A juicy jammy style of Pinot Noir, bursting with cherry and raspberry flavours, finished off beautifully by a hint of sweet, soft oak spice.

This wine shows a bright garnet red in the glass whilst a youthful exuberance of red berry fruit and hint of peppery spice is evident on the nose. The palate is soft, medium bodied and juicy, packed with crunchy raspberry and black cherry fruit, a hint of liquorice and a clean, well balanced, smooth finish.

The best vineyards of Beaujolais fall on the granite rich slopes of an area known as the ‘villages’. Beaujolais Villages is made from 100% Gamay grapes that have exceptional fruit character, appealing floral aromas and supple rounded palate.

A striking and vivid red colour, with several punnets worth of red berry fruit on the nose and palate. Soft and fresh with light, ripe tannins and crisp acidity it is a benchmark Beaujolais.

A typical vibrant Classico, blended from 90% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino and 5% Canaiolo. This is a traditional mix, producing a well-structured wine rounded with maturation in large oak barrel. It is full bodied, with good fresh fruit, a touch of oak and a bittersweet finish.

An attractive, evolving, very classically-styled nose here, peppery and dusty, showing good maturity already. The palate has elegance and restraint, with attractive crunchy-spicy fruit.

A perfect blend producing a soft rich and blackcurranty red with complex, elegant flavours derived from oak barrel maturation. A pleasant nose with aromas of red berries. A smooth, delicate and balanced wine, deep and bright in colour.

Beautifully developed garnet-red in colour shows a very ripe nose of concentrated fruits of the forest and a dense palate reminiscent of black cherries and chocolate with pretty notes of liquorice and eucalyptus.

A mix of complex layered aromas is initially dominated by Satsuma plum, mulberry, black olive with emerging fragrances of spices such as anise, curry powder, cardamom and wonderful tight floral notes with cedar coming through as the wine opens up. The palate is beautifully crafted, precise and extremely controlled with rich, juicy, fragrant red fruits.

This oak matured traditional Châteauneuf is predominantly blended from Grenache with Syrah, Counoise and Mourvèdre adding complexity of wild herbs, cedar and pepper. It’s full and spicy character will match the richest of game, roast meats and strong cheeses.

Barolo is the classic red wine of Piedmont. This rich, powerful wine is velvety yet austere on the palate with the distinct bouquet of roses and violets. Before release Barolo spends 3 years in large oak ‘botti’ and a further period in bottle to allow the tannins to soften and the wine to develop.

A ruby red colour with a rich and complex aroma.  Clearly defused notes of mocha, violets and seductive plum flavour leads through to silky ripe tannins which are supported with spicy notes.  This sensational award winning wine has a great depth of flavour and good length.     

Deep purple red colour. The wine has ripe plum and liquorice aromas with white pepper and charred oak overtones. The palate is full and rich with concentrated plum fruit flavours, peppery overtones, integrated oak and firms tannins, following through to a soft, drying finish.

This is the ultimate Grand Cru eith nothing spared. Intensely ripe and lusciously fruity with a silky finish.

This small 9.5 acre domaine is run by Vincent Pansiot who also heads the Gevrey town brigade! He consistentley produces wines from his 'vielles vignes' (plots of vines up to 90 years old) that exhibit deep colour, a spicy, meaty, robust character with velvety structure and a powerful finish. The domaine style is elegant yet concentrated for Gevrey with round tannins and ripe, silky fruit.

This is a commune of enormous reputation, despite its small size. Clive Coates has praised the Clergets for their consistency of high quality and Christian is considered one of the best growers in Cote de Nuits. Christian likes to produce full bodied styles which deliver great flavours with subtlety, elegance and complexity.

One of the most reliably consistent Médoc estates showing a deep mahogany colour and powerful, alluring bouquet of cedar, plum and cassis, typical of Saint Julien. Talbot has classic structure and exotic spice balanced by sturdy tannins and it finishes well lingering on the palate.

A glorious wine for the vintage, with a dense opaque colour, sweet, succulent plum fruit aromas, and a fine balance of finesse and power on the palate. Superbly structured with harmonious spiced flavours which remain wonderfully fresh.

This world famous estate is renowned for this classic red. A blend of grape varieties to capture the elegance of the Bordeaux style but leading to a fusion of eastern spice and ripe chocolatey texture.

The 2001 is a very fine wine- it displays plenty of chunky fruits and depth, and a very long pleasing finish.
