It's great fishing in the nearby Kennet riverThe Thames Valley is home to some of the very best trout and coarse fishing to be found anywhere in the UK. On the banks of the Thames, The Swan at Streatley is the perfect base to explore these endless swims.

The upper Thames supports Roach, Chub, Pike and Perch. From Lechlade through Oxford and on to Reading, Bream are plentiful. Barbel are prized in the weir pools that are also the home of the elusive and much sought-after Thames Brownies.

The Rivers Kennet and Loddon are magnificent alternatives to The Thames, both within a short distance of Streatley.
